The Gordon Murray Automotive T.33 is the British manufacturer’s second model after the T.50, and the first to be fully street-legal in the United States. Limited to just 100 examples worldwide at approximately £1.37 million each, every unit was spoken for before production began.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.9-litre Cosworth GMA V12 producing 607 hp at 10,500 rpm and 333 lb-ft of torque at 9,000 rpm, with a stratospheric redline of 11,100 rpm. In a world of turbocharged hybrids, the T.33’s high-revving, naturally aspirated V12 is a defiant celebration of pure internal combustion.
Thanks to an iStream Ultralight carbon monocoque and obsessive weight reduction, the T.33 weighs just 1,090 kg (2,403 lbs) dry — giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 556 bhp per tonne. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a standard 6-speed Xtrac manual transmission — at just 82 kg, the lightest supercar gearbox ever made — with an optional Instantaneous Gearchange System paddle-shift available.
