Real Car Heritage
The Honda S800 was introduced at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show as the successor to the S600, powered by a high-revving 791cc inline-four producing 70 hp at 8,000 rpm with a redline of 8,500 rpm — making it one of the highest-revving sports cars of its era and Honda’s first 100 mph automobile.
This casting specifically replicates the 1968 Honda S800 RSC (Racing Service Center) campaigned at the 12 Hours of Suzuka. The RSC tuning shop bored the 791cc engine out to approximately 845–873cc, fitted high-compression pistons, quad carburettors, and a racing 5-speed gearbox, boosting output to over 100 hp at a screaming 10,500 rpm. Weight was reduced to just 660 kg including roll bars and racing equipment.
Driven by Kuniomi Nagamatsu and Yoshifumi Kikura, the #25 S800 RSC finished an astonishing 3rd place overall at the 1968 12 Hours of Suzuka, beating far more powerful machinery including the Nissan Fairlady Roadster, Toyota 1600GT, and Prince Skyline 2000GT, while taking a dominant 1st place in the GT-1 class. The RSC-tuned S800 was undefeated in its class and proved itself more than equal to 1600cc and 2000cc machinery.
