Hot Wheels Mainline 2025: Complete 250-Car List with Photos
Quick answer: The 2025 Hot Wheels mainline contains 250 numbered cars across 36 mini-collections, plus 15 Treasure Hunts and 15 Super Treasure Hunts. This page lists every 2025 mainline model with collector number, toy number, series and photos, with buying notes for South African collectors.
About the 2025 Hot Wheels Mainline
The mainline is the core Hot Wheels range: 89 of the 250 cars in 2025 were brand-new castings, and the rest are fresh deco releases of favourite castings. Cases are mixed, so some models are harder to find on South African pegs than others. Below is the complete 2025 line-up, organised by mini-collection series exactly as Mattel arranged them on the card backs.

Buying 2025 Hot Wheels Mainline Cars in South Africa
South African collectors usually pay between R40 and R90 for a standard 2025 mainline single on card. Treasure Hunts and Super Treasure Hunts are randomly mixed into cases, so they rarely reach the pegs — most change hands collector-to-collector. When buying, check the card for creases and soft corners, and compare the toy number on the back of the card with the list above to be sure you are getting the exact 2025 release you want. You can browse our current stock in the Unnew shop, and we ship anywhere in South Africa.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many cars are in the 2025 Hot Wheels mainline?
The 2025 Hot Wheels mainline has 250 numbered cars spread across 36 mini-collection series. On top of those, Mattel hid 15 regular Treasure Hunts and 15 Super Treasure Hunts in the 2025 cases, and many models were released in more than one colour.
What are the Super Treasure Hunts for 2025?
The 2025 Super Treasure Hunts are premium versions of regular mainline cars with Spectraflame paint and Real Riders rubber tyres, marked with a gold flame logo behind the car. The 2025 set includes cars such as Aston Martin DB4GT High-Speed Edition, Hi-Roller II, ’87 Audi quattro, 1975 Datsun Sunny Truck (B120), Hirohata Merc and others. Each one shares its collector number with the regular version of the same casting.
Where can I buy 2025 Hot Wheels in South Africa?
In South Africa you can find 2025 Hot Wheels at toy stores and supermarkets that stock Mattel, at online marketplaces, and at specialist diecast stores like Unnew, which ships countrywide. Case assortments arrive in waves, so check back regularly if you are hunting a specific model.
How much do 2025 Hot Wheels cost in South Africa?
Standard 2025 mainline singles usually sell for roughly R40 to R90 in South African shops, depending on the retailer. Popular castings, Treasure Hunts and Super Treasure Hunts carry a premium on the secondary market, with Supers often selling for several times the shelf price.
What does the collector number on a 2025 Hot Wheels card mean?
The number on the card, for example 125/250, is the car’s collector number within the 2025 mainline set of 250. It helps collectors track which cars they still need. The separate toy number, a five-character code like HRY81, identifies the exact production version of that model.
