Description
Hot Wheels Minitrek – 1:64 Scale Diecast Model
The Minitrek is one of the most unusual castings Hot Wheels ever made. Designed by legendary Hot Wheels designer Larry Wood and first released in the 1981 mainline (toy number 1697), it is based on the 1979-81 Toyota Truck – known as the Hilux outside North America – with a Chinook camper rear section. Affectionately described by collectors as “so ugly it’s cool”, the Minitrek is a genuine piece of early-80s Hot Wheels history and a casting that was only produced in a handful of variations, making it a fun and affordable target for vintage collectors.
