Matchbox has been a collector favourite since 1953, when Jack Odell created a toy small enough to fit in a matchbox for his daughter. Today the brand is owned by Mattel and remains one of the most collected die-cast names in the world. Learn more at the official Matchbox site, read the brand history on Wikipedia, and dive into casting details on the Matchbox collector wiki. The real bike is based on the modern Triumph Scrambler, a British classic reborn for the big screen.
